Remarque : Il est bien certain que la violence exprimée dans les textes de l'époque ne représente en rien les sentiments qui m'animent dans la vie. Je reproduis ce texte par fidélité pour le style western dans lequel tout se réglait à coup de pistolets. On comprend en cela l'analyse faite dans le film Bowling for Columbine, un film documentaire américain du réalisateur Michael Moore, sorti dans les salles aux États-Unis le 11 octobre 2002 qui analyse l'accès aux armes qui mène encore nos voisins du sud à une violence endémique.
